Abstract

The early childhood period cannot be repeated in the following period. So that at this time the potential, abilities and intelligence possessed must be stimulated optimally. One of the intelligences that can be developed is spatial intelligence. Spatial intelligence is very important to develop because it can help children understand and interact with the world around them. This study aims to determine the effect of using tangram puzzle media on spatial intelligence in early childhood in Group B at Kuncup Mekar Kindergarten. This research includes experimental research, namely Quasi Experimental Design with the design used is post-test only. Determination of experimental and control groups is done randomly using random sampling technique by lottery. Data analysis results show that tcount = 5.343 while at a significance level of 5% with dk = 59 obtained ttable value = 1.671. It can be seen that tcount> ttable which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that there is a significant influence between children who are given treatment through the use of tangram puzzle media and those who do not use tangram puzzle media. So, it can be concluded that there is an effect of using tangram puzzle media on the spatial intelligence of early childhood. So that tangram puzzles can be recommended as learning media, especially in developing children's spatial intelligence.
