Author Guidelines

General Author Guidelines

Articles submitted for publication must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Articles should be original, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.
  • Articles submitted should be based on research, whether library-based, fieldwork, or other types of research.
  • The language of manuscripts and of publication must follow the current requirements communicated by the editorial office.
  • Manuscript length and formatting must follow the journal's current approved manuscript template.
  • Submission files should be prepared in an editable format accepted by the journal submission system and in accordance with the current approved manuscript template. Non-editable formats should only be used when explicitly permitted by the editorial office.
  • Articles should include: title; author names, affiliations, and contact information; an abstract in the language(s) required by the journal; relevant keywords; introduction; research methods or analytical approach; results and discussion; conclusion; and complete references.
  • Articles should include the full name of the author(s), a university or professional institution, and a valid, contactable email address.
  • Abstracts should concisely present the background, aims, methodology, principal results, and contribution of the study.
  • Tables and diagrams should be numbered consecutively, cited in the body, supplied with clear titles and source notes, and presented so their meaning is understandable without unnecessary repetition in the text.
  • Figures and images must be legible, accurately captioned, appropriately cited, and accompanied by permissions when required. Files should meet the technical format requested by the editorial office.
  • Foreign-language expressions and Arabic-to-Latin transliteration must be used accurately and consistently, with appropriate diacritics and clear explanations where necessary.
  • Articles should include a bibliography consisting of primary sources (books, manuscripts, interviews, or observations) and updated secondary sources from books or peer-reviewed journals.
  • In-text citations and bibliography entries must use the same reference system consistently and follow the approved journal template.

Citation and Attribution Examples

When citing educational research, classroom observations, policy documents, interviews, Qur'anic or Hadith sources, or historical materials, authors should identify the author or institution, work title, relevant date, publication details, and precise location of the cited evidence. Citations must clearly distinguish original data, paraphrases, translations, and direct quotations.

Reference List and Research Materials

The reference list should allow readers to locate every source cited in the manuscript. Authors should include complete metadata for journal articles, books, edited volumes, institutional publications, learning materials, and online resources, including DOI or a stable URL when available. Interviews and unpublished classroom records should be cited in a way consistent with participant privacy and research ethics.

Research Integrity and Educational Context

Conceptual, historical, and literature-based articles should identify their principal arguments, define the scope of sources consulted, distinguish primary and secondary evidence, and present an analytical contribution beyond a descriptive summary. Interpretations of Qur'anic texts, Hadith, Arabic terminology, and educational traditions should be appropriately contextualized and supported by reliable references.

Empirical research involving learners, teachers, parents, or school communities should explain the educational setting, participant selection, data collection, analysis, and limitations in a manner that allows the findings to be evaluated responsibly. When research concerns children, vulnerable participants, or personal educational records, authors must describe appropriate consent, safeguarding, confidentiality, and applicable institutional ethical oversight. Identifiable information should not be disclosed without lawful authority and appropriate consent.

Notes

  • For citation and bibliography formatting, authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Zotero or Mendeley.
  • Use the current article template provided through the official journal website or editorial office; do not rely on a template from another journal.
  • Use an established transliteration system consistently and supply accurate Arabic script where required by the subject of the study.
  • Authors are strongly encouraged to consult the Reviewer Guidelines to ensure compliance with the journal’s academic standards, structure, and analytical expectations prior to submission.
