Revenue Sources, Advertising, & Marketing Policies

Islamic Education: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam is committed to transparency about its financial model, advertising practices, and direct marketing. The journal provides open access to published scholarly content, and its published author-fee information states that authors are not charged an article processing fee. Editorial and peer-review decisions remain independent of financial or commercial considerations.

Revenue Sources

Scholarly publishing incurs costs for editorial coordination, peer review administration, online hosting, publication preparation, metadata management, and preservation. Journal operations may be supported through the resources of the responsible publisher or institution and other lawful arrangements, where applicable. The journal's no-author-fee and open-access policies do not establish any particular institutional funding amount or imply payment by authors or readers.

The journal does not obtain revenue from reader subscriptions or commercial advertisements. Any institutional or other financial support must not determine article acceptance, alter reviewer recommendations, obtain preferential access to the editorial process, or suppress criticism. Manuscripts are evaluated on their academic merits in accordance with the journal's peer-review and publication ethics policies.

Advertising and Sponsorship

The journal does not accept or display advertisements or paid promotional sponsorship placements. This commitment keeps commercial marketing separate from scholarly content. Any future proposal to introduce advertising would require an explicit policy revision and clear separation of advertising from peer-reviewed material; advertisers would have no influence over editorial decisions or peer-review processes.

The absence of paid advertising does not prevent accurate acknowledgment of legitimate institutional affiliations, editorial collaborations, or non-promotional organizational support where those relationships are documented. Such acknowledgments must not be presented in a manner that suggests they confer publication privileges.

Direct Marketing

Any direct marketing activities undertaken by the journal, including calls for papers, invitations to reviewers, and announcements of new issues, are carried out through appropriate official communication channels in an ethical, targeted, and non-intrusive manner. Communications must accurately identify the journal, its scholarly scope, relevant submission procedures, editorial contact information, and applicable author fees.

Announcements must not misrepresent indexing or accreditation, promise guaranteed acceptance or priority in exchange for payment, or offer predetermined decisions contrary to the journal's publication ethics. Promotional communications do not influence manuscript assessment, reviewer selection, or publication decisions.
