Copyright and Licensing

Authors publishing in Islamic Education: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam retain copyright in their original scholarly works. The journal's published articles identify the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) as an open-access license for the material to which that license statement applies.

Copyright Ownership and First Publication

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal permission to publish and disseminate the accepted version of their work as the original journal publication, subject to the publishing terms agreed upon by the authors and the journal. Authorship, originality, permissions for third-party materials, and accurate acknowledgment of sources remain the responsibilities of the contributing authors.

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0

Where an article is designated as licensed under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0), others may copy, redistribute, remix, transform, and build upon the work, including for commercial purposes, provided that they give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes were made. The attribution must not imply that the authors or the journal endorse a subsequent user or adaptation.

Users should retain bibliographic information identifying the original authors, article title, journal, publication details, and DOI when available. They must also respect any third-party material that is excluded from the article's Creative Commons license and separately identified through credit lines or permissions notices.

Author Sharing and Repository Deposit

Authors may share and deposit their articles in institutional repositories, subject repositories, personal academic profiles, and other lawful platforms consistent with the license actually attached to the published work. When sharing a published article, authors are encouraged to cite the journal's version of record and provide a link to the original publication.

License statements accompanying previously published articles should be respected as issued. A change to the journal's current licensing policy does not by itself replace the rights or license terms applicable to earlier publications.
